Good Morning

Today I thought it would be good to talk about why it is important to vary your workout routine. There are two main reasons to vary your routine, to prevent boredom and to avoid or delay hitting a plateau. Studies have shown that varying your routine helps to keep the workout fresh and thereby more enjoyable, thus making you more likely to stick with your exercise program.Varying you routine also keeps you more physically challenged and helps avoid you reaching a plateau because your body has adapted to the repetitive training stimulus.

Good Morning

Today I thought I would include some cooking advice. If you are eating healthily you are probably eating a lot of chicken. Boneless, skinless chicken breasts are a dieter's best friend and an excellent source of lean protein. One 4-ounce serving of boneless, skinless chicken contains 2.5g of fat and 23g of protein. These breasts are low in fat, but dry out quickly if cooked using a dry-heat method such as baking.
Follow this link for an easy way to cook your chicken breasts, but still have them stay tender and succulent.

Good Morning

I hope everyone is enjoying the wonderful weather. Today's Tuesday Tidbit is a subject that can be controversial, it is based on a article titled "Do you know how much sugar is in your diet?"
Research has pointed to sugar's influence on our ability to reach and maintain an ideal weight and prevent chronic conditions and diseases like cancer, diabetes and heart disease. A clear message regarding just how much sugar to consume daily doesn't presently exist under our current dietary guidelines. There is no listing of the percentage of daily value on food labels also sugar comes in many different forms and so we don't always know what type or were we are getting it from. This article shows a sample menu for a day and makes good suggestions for substitutions.
